For as long as I can remember, I have adored the written word. As a child, I got thrilled at the prospect of telling stories. In between soccer games and picnics at the park, I could be found curled up with a good book or working on my next writing project.
Now that I'm all grown up, I spend my days serving as the Development Director for Touch A Life, a non-profit organization committed to providing long-term rehabilitative care for children rescued out of slavery in Ghana, West Africa. I work part-time while raising our beautiful daughter, Ruby.
But I have always loved to carve out time to write. As an adult, my spare time is still filled with writing projects, just as it was in childhood. Amongst other things, I am a freelance writer for Darling Magazine, and I co-host the Wonderfully Made podcast, which features authentic conversations with world-changing women who are living out their unique purpose. I love writing about things that matter to me: food, books, travel, family, and faith are amongst my favorite topics. I am especially inspired by all of the movers, shakers, and do-gooders in my wonderful community in Dallas, where we live. You can see all of my writing work here.
Originally from Chicago, I moved to Dallas in 2009 after graduating from Pepperdine University in California and I love life in Texas. I live just outside of the city with my husband, James, our darling baby girl, and our hilariously large English mastiff, Coach. When I'm not parenting, working, or writing, I love to travel, run, try new restaurants (especially the ones specializing in tacos!), read, and bake lemon bars.
I would love to connect with you about writing opportunities, potential collaborations, and other fun projects. Let's get the conversation started here. I can't wait to hear from you!
